Integrative Relational Individual, Relationships and Couple Counsellor

MBACP.  BA (Hons) Integrative Relational Counselling. Diploma in Relationship Couple Counselling.

Julie is a qualified relationship counsellor having worked for Relate for a number of years and has a BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Relationship Counselling. She previously worked for a number of charities in service provision including Samaritans and Breast Cancer Care.

Her voluntary roles include Samaritan’s listening Volunteer and assisting with art therapy for people with learning disabilities.

Counselling and Psychotherapy has been a passion for Julie ever since she started her own therapy many years ago and found out how it could enhance and change her life.  She now feels she is on a never-ending journey of self-improvement and awareness and would like to help others find this for themselves.

Life can be tough and Julie feels that counselling can help us find ways to through the rough times and navigate the rocky paths.  It can also lead to a new self-understanding and approach to our relationships.  It can help us find a new way of being, even when we are in the latter years of life and struggling with new and ongoing life issues.

Integrative Relational counselling is a talking therapy with the focus of being in relation to self and other and this is used to enhance the working alliance between counsellor and client.  The strength of the working alliance is considered to be the key factor in the success of the client’s experience of therapy and enhances the possibility of growth and change.
